The Nutcracker – Clarke will doubtless make a huge impression when he's finally able to take on the crowned heads of the repertoire. Sitting in the wings, as he rehearsed the Christmas classic alongside other more seasoned members of the company, I couldn't help but marvel at the great sense of hope that is triggered when such a palpable talent joins the ranks. Definitely one to watch.
